Two Merida scholars discovered this full perfect illumination & had no explanation for the APRIL 6 date, but felt it must commemorate a significant date in the life of the Mesoamerican god–Quetzalcoatl.  March 21, June 21, and Sept. 21 illuminations show only 7 triangles.
